✅ ‘Best of’ lists
When it comes to 'best of' lists, you're usually getting only someone else's best
‘Best of’ list are hard to ignore.
You desire to know what’s best. The best books, shows on Netflix, non-dairy milks, hand creams for winter. But “best” is relative.
You may find the items on someone’s best of list to be dissatisfactory. “That hand cream was greasy.” “That Netflix comedy wasn’t even funny.” “That didn’t even taste like milk!”
One person’s favorite is another person’s dislike. “Taste this, it’s the best,” can quickly result in a puckered face.
But you love best of lists because you want only the best. Too bad you’re only getting someone else’s best.
